3.3 Copies Purchased From Third Parties

Purchasing a physical copy of the book gives you ownership of that copy, but it does not transfer rights in the underlying work. Any digital edition is licensed under the terms presented by the retailer or distributor through which it is obtained. Except as allowed by law or the applicable retailer's terms, you may not:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, broadcast, or upload the work, in whole or in part.
Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works.
Remove or alter copyright notices, watermarks, or digital-rights controls.
Resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit a digital edition.
Use the work to train or fine-tune an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model without our express written permission.

4. Third-Party Book Purchases

The Site currently directs customers to Amazon to purchase the book. It may also provide links to Barnes & Noble, Ingram, or other booksellers and distributors.

Acorn Hope, LLC does not sell books or process orders or payments through the Site. A purchase is a transaction between you and the third-party seller through which you place the order. Current pricing, availability, taxes, payment processing, delivery, cancellations, returns, and other transaction matters are determined and handled by that seller under its own terms and policies. Please contact the seller directly for help with a purchase.

We are not responsible for a third party's platform, transaction processing, fulfillment, content, availability, or policies. A link does not imply that we control or endorse every aspect of the linked service. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

5. Product Information

We try to describe the book accurately, but Site descriptions, images, formats, editions, availability, and other product information may change or contain errors. Colors and images are approximations and may vary by device or print run. The seller's listing controls the specific edition, format, price, and availability offered in a transaction.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED US$50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Acorn Hope, LLC and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, User Content, or violation of law or a third party's rights. We may assume control of the defense of a covered matter, in which case you agree to cooperate.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

Subject to mandatory consumer protections, unresolved disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of protections or forums that applicable law does not allow to be waived.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site for conduct that violates these Terms or threatens the Site, us, or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions—will survive.

Severability: if a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No Waiver: failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale.
Force Majeure: we are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
